Context

Today, green concepts are gaining traction. But the problem is people do not have sufficient knowledge about gardening. So I suggest user need an expert consulting responsive web application in gardening field.

Double diamond strategy

I used Double diamond strategy to develop my problem statement

Problem statement

Our gardener needs a way to get advices in gardening process because they want expert help to continue their gardening

We will know this to be true when we see the number of gardeners who use our app to get expert help when they need.

Lean UX Design Process

I used Lean UX Design process to develop my “Green pallet mobile application”

Research Goals

To understand which age groups will use these app.

To better understand user behavior around the activity of gardening.

To determine most in demand tasks, users would like to complete using a gardening app.

Documenting user pain points with existing gardening apps in the market.

Collecting data on the context in which users would use a gardening app.

User Research Survey Questionnaire for gardening app

Through this survey we determine to collect quantitative and qualitative data about the agricultural expert consultation app.

Summary

When we consider about the data we collected through the survey

Lot of users are doing gardening as a hobby and they need help to improve the knowledge about gardening. In between age group 20- 45, doing indoor gardening is more popular than outdoor gardening. Lot of users like to have expert help but only when needed (not in a continuous subscription). So to keep the app working we should add more features like reminders, image identification, etc.

User Personas

In this project, I created three user personas and three mental models that represented three groups of potential users of my target audience

According to the insights and data collected through the process than I build up user stories and task flows for each persona I created.

Usability Test

For card sorting I conduct  Digital test on optimal sort. There I learnt Difference people have different overview about the cards. For this card sorting 6 Participants contribute their Contribution.

What I learn

Among the participants 4 of them have same sorting for Blogs, Blogs Gallery,Payment, and payment Confirmation.  Three of them have same selection for Content expert,Expert help, expert profile, Expert profile gallery,.The rest selected by one or two participants.

How I address it in a new sitemap

According to the standardization grid I will arrange the site and according to the Similarity matrix i will arrange the navigation among the sites.Help of the standardization understand many topics which can sort them in to one category.

Conducting a peer Interview

Final Prototype link & What I learned

With out Researching such as conducting user interviews, Questioners, Usability test, we can’t understand what our potential users want

With out card sorting can’t get the idea how they sorting something.

With out peer interview and reviews we will never see mistake we done during designing. So it is a process with lot of task that has to follow carefully to get a better end result.

https://rb.gy/ffn0t

Have you ever given feedback on someone else’s designs before?

Have you received feedback on your own design?

At CareerFoundry Institute there is a Slack group, where we can share our final prototypes and conduct peer interviews so I review my classmates’ projects and they also review my project.

How would your teammates describe you professionally?

They are telling me that I‘m always helpful and willing to take responsibility. can come up with creative strategies but they always complain to me that I am not active in Slack and group chats.

Tell me about a difficult project where you overcame a challenge.

When I was designing a language application the range of my potential users was very large. So I had to design the layout and the user flow to suit the elders aged 55 to teenagers aged 12. So It was a big challenge for me. I used Accessibility theory, progressive onboarding methods and animations to make it happens.

Think of a question you could ask the interviewer. For instance, this could be something about their organization’s culture, flow, or a more specific question about a product.

I would like to know a little bit about the ethics, policies and culture of the organization

As a UX Designer, I’m dealing with private and sensitive human data. So is there a proper way to store them securely?
